One day Whitewater Rafting

On our one day Salmon river whitewater rafting trip you will discover the beauty of Idaho in a 12 mile stretch of wildly fun whitewater. Splash through big waves, Enjoy a delicious riverside lunch, tour a historic goldmine, and see the remnants of a historic peoples of the past that once lived and thrived in the bottom of the canyon. 

• When:  Departs Daily May–-September
• Where: Upper Main Salmon River
• Trip length: Approximately 12 miles
• Class/Level: Class I-III
• Departing time: 9:00 AM from the headquarters of Idaho Adventures here in Salmon Idaho. 100 courthouse dr. Salmon ID, 83467                                
• Ending time: 4:00pm to 5:00pm but varies with water levels!
• Time on water: About 4 to 6 hours, also dependent on water levels
• Age restrictions: 6+ depending on water levels
• Delicious Riverside lunch Included
• Cost: $140.00/person $125.00 youth 16 and younger  *minimum restrictions apply
• Charter: $850.00 for an entire chartered boat, up to six people 

*If we do not have anyone else booked on the day you choose we require a minimum of 3 people per boat or $420.00, so you're basically just paying for that third spot to make it cost effective for us to run the trip . If additional people book, we will credit that money back to you!

2-Day/1-Night Salmon River Whitewater Rafting Trip

Our two day rafting trip is a perfect weekend getaway if you don't have the time to fully immerse yourself in our three day. Both days on the water you get exciting rapids and of course, endless scenery. This is an opportunity you cant miss! Filled with history, wildlife, and gourmet food prepared by our very talented guides, an experience you'll never forget. 

• When: Departs every Friday and Saturday May-September 
• Where: Upper Main salmon, River Of No Return
• Trip Length: 30 miles
• Class/Level: Class II & III
• Orientation: 6:00 pm the night before your trip or the morning of departure if you're unable to make it at that time.
• Departure Time: 9:00 am from the headquarters of Idaho Adventures here in Salmon Idaho.  ​
• Return Time: Approximate 5:00 pm on the second day
• Time on Water: On average 4 to 6 hours daily
• Meals & Beverages: Included (2 beers a day per person and complimentary wine with dinner, you are welcome to bring any of your own alcoholic beverages, please no glass.)
• Camping: Free camping for the night
• Age Restrictions: 6+- years of age depending on water flow
• Cost: $685.00 for adults and $585.00 youth 16 and younger

*Discounts for groups 8 or more and customizable dates for groups of 6 or more.

​Fantastic experience!
We took a family trip with nine of “the boys” on a 3 day excursion. Everett, Jazz, and Zack are wonderful guides who fit right into our group and became part of the family. They went out of the way to make everyone from age 16 to 73 feel comfortable. The food was unbelievable with cheese and wine plates and salmon and steak…well above what our group of knuckledraggers was used to. The fishing was only okay but we were able to catch and release some every day. I recommend including the inflatable kayaks as they added a new dimension to the rapids and we were able to all try them at some point. I highly recommend going with these guys on any trip and only wish we would have done a longer one. We’ll be back next year.

3-Day/2-Night Main Salmon  Whitewater Rafting Trip

Journey down 49 miles of the Salmon river of no return. The first day on the water is mild and scenic, a perfect warm up for the rapid days ahead! The second day you launch into our whitewater stretches with class II and III rapids, with a historic goldmine tour, gorgeous views, and a chance to get your photo taken while going through class III whitewater, taken by a salmon local living off grid in the salmon river canyon. (photos can be purchased on the way back from the trip, a set of 12 pictures for $40)
Day three you get to witness the iconic confluence of the Middlefork and the Main salmon rivers, and experience some of the biggest whitewater this river has to offer. All meals, gear, and shuttles are included.

• Trip length: Approximately 49 Miles over 3 Days
• Class/Level: I-III depending on water levels
• Orientation: 6:00 pm the night before your trip or the morning of departure.
• Departing time: 9:00 am
• Return time: Approximately 5:00 pm on third day
• Time on water: On average 4 to 6 hours daily
• Meals & beverages: Included (2 beers a day per person and complimentary wine with dinner, you are welcome to bring any of your own alcoholic beverages, please no glass.)
• Camping: Camping is inclusive for 2 nights
• Age restrictions: 6+- years of age depending on water flow
• Cost: Adult $885.00 / Youth 16 and younger $810
