- We suggest that children be at least 4 yrs old on single-day trips, & 6 yrs old on multiday trips.
- Departure times may vary from those listed depending on river conditions and/or other scheduled activities.
- Water shoes/sandals & quick drying shorts/shirts are recommended.
- Gratuities are at the discretion of the guest. Tips should be given directly to the guide and a general rule of thumb is 15%.

Steelhead Fishing
Steelhead are an ocean-run rainbow trout with a reputation as a world-class freshwater sport fish. These fish are elusive and the most dedicated anglers spend countless hours trying to catch them. Our seasoned guides have set the standard for local knowledge and experience and feed their passion for fishing both on and off the clock. For our guests and guides, the true allure of Steelheading is the journey. Yet, nothing quite matches the thrill of a Steelheads hard tug then watching it leap and fight your line.

Wilderness Steelhead Fishing Trip: 5-Day / 4-Night Trip
Fish the magnificent Salmon River as it winds through the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness from Corn Creek to Mackay Bar. Over 5 days, we will fish approximately 60-river miles camping along the river in comfortable wall tents. We send our gear boat ahead to set up camp and allow you to maximize your time on the river. On the afternoon of the 5th day you will fly from Mackay Bar back to Salmon or Boise.
We book two fishermen per raft with a maximum of 12 fishermen per group, unless the entire trip is chartered.

Salmon River Chukar Hunting & Steelhead Fishing – Join us for a “Cast & Blast” trip this fall!
Hunting from the river offers a less arduous retrieval, but you are welcome to bring your favorite hunting canine companion.
This is so much more than a rafting trip!
This 5-Day trip allows you to escape to the Idaho backcountry to experience the famous Salmon River as it winds its way through the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. Fishing and hunting opportunities abound, and this trip is designed especially for the person who wants to tangle with Idaho’s feisty fish. Early run steelhead, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, bull trout and even sturgeon are all options. As we float and fish, we’ll keep a keen eye open for chukars. Hunting from the river offers a less arduous retrieval, but you are welcome to bring your favorite hunting canine companion.
The Salmon River and its many tributaries offer up large aggressive fish. Idaho Adventures offers you this great fall fishing and Chukar hunting vacation package. How much you fish/hunt is entirely up to you, Mark and the guides are ready to help you with your needs. These trips are limited to twelve guests per trip and with two guests per guide/boat.
